Milan, Italy – Sentient Blue receives formal confirmation of investment by Genius NY Accelerator Program, part of the investment plan backed by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for the development of the UAS industry in Central NY area.

On the 14th December 2018, MPD Partners’ client Sentient Blue, Italian start-up operating in the UAV (drones) sector, has received the investment confirmation from the Genius New York Accelerator Program, the world’s largest unmanned aircraft system competition based in the city of Syracuse, New York in the United State. Out of 350 highly competitive participants, only five companies have been selected to receive the funding. With $500,000 already confirmed, from January Sentient Blue will compete with the other four companies for the additional $500,000 award that Genius NY proposed for the April final pitch. The Genius New York Program is part of the Unmanned Aerial Systems ecosystem backed by the State of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, which, with a $250 million investment only dedicated to the UAS industry (out of a total investment of $500 million) aims to transform the Central New York area into global leader in Unmanned Systems technology, thereby creating jobs, and boosting the local economy. Italy is gaining worldwide traction thanks to early stage companies that roll out the excellence that made the history of the country. This is not a random Silicon Valley incubator, but a state-run economic development program that calls for the worldwide most reputable experts and the most concrete innovation ventures.
